When I took up golf as a junior, little did I
know that it was going to become such a large part of my life.
I turned Professional in 1979 after a
successful amateur career which peaked when I was "capped" for Great
Britain and Ireland.
After winning 9 tournaments and twice winning
the European Order of Merit, I retired from
tournament golf and took up the position of Professional at Portlethen
Golf Club, the 1st Lady Club Professional in Scotland.
My time is spent running the Pro-Shop, working
with the Juniors and running a very busy teaching business which, in
particular, caters for lady golfers.
In my spare time, I concentrate my efforts on
raising funds for underprivileged children in India.
It appears very trite to say, "Golf has given
me so much fun, enjoyment and pleasure that I am delighted to give
something back - and do you know, it's true!"
