When I took up golf as a junior, little did I know it was going to become such a big part of my life.  I turned Professional in 1979 after a successful amateur career when I was ‘capped’ for Great Britain & Ireland. After winning 9 tournaments and twice winning the European Order of Merit I retired from Tournament golf.  In 1990 I took up the position of PGA Professional at Portlethen Golf Club, the 1st Lady Club Professional in Scotland.  After almost 25 years at the club I retired in December 2014.
In 2006 I first visited India to do voluntary work helping with the underprivileged children of the St. Joseph Social Service Centre in Chennai, India.  I now concentrate my efforts on raising funds for the St. Joseph Centre to improve the children’s health, welfare and education.
It appears very trite to say ‘Golf gave me so much enjoyment and the privilege to travel the world that I am delighted to be able to give something back – but it’s true.”
